Beauty tips for teen girls

I just got asked a few questions about staying beautiful through your teen years- here are my tips
-Covering spots, blackheads and other skin blemishes
Concealer is a girls best friend! Green concealer will cancel out red spots, you can then conceal with your regular concealer. My favourite under eye concealer is garnier under eye caffiene roll on in medium dark, it covers dark circles and helps to minimise them with added ingredients. I really don't have a favourite regular concealer, i keep trying new ones but i love avon's touch up, YSL's touch eclait and Clinique's airbrush concealer
-How to make skin clearer and have a healthy sheen
A good skincare regime will do your skin the world of good. Be sure to take off your makeup every night, apply face cream and exfoliate your face with a face scrub. You can also commit to the three step regime, cleanse, tone and moisturise. Cleanse your face with a face wash or cleansing wipes, tone with a toner and then moisturise with your favourite face cream. Be sure to pick products specific to your skin type for maximum results

It's Snow Cold!

Okay, that was soooo cheesy! But where i live, its been freezing cold, and soo icy on the roads and stuff that you'd be afraid you would fall! No one wants to drive anywhere because they'll slip, they dont want to walk anywhere because they'll slip! One thing i am delighted about though, is the SNOW! Now I am from London and when we used to live in london it would always always snow every single christmas, and i loved it. But when we moved down to Devon where i live now (riiight on the coast! I can see the sea from my shopping centres car park) it doesnt snow every year because of the wind from the sea or whatever, so when it does i loveloveloveLOVE it! Its been snowing every day, a lot of the time it snows more than once in the day but it has started just snowing over night. What is the snow like where you live? Do you like it? Do you wish you had more or less?

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas... everywhere you go!
Winter is here, girls, and its time to wrap up warm- in style of course!
I love Christmas, its such a festive season and it really brings people closer together! There is nothing like sitting around a fire, eating chocolate and watching crap TV with your family. Then there are the parties, and of course snow (for those lucky enough to have any)
This season thick cable knits in cream colours are in fashion, and i have to say cable knits are my favourite thing right now! I also love a lot of the winter stuff in River Island, there are some really cute bobble knit jumpers, and fur lined boots! (It's practical. You NEED these clothes and boots! Buy or risk freezing to death. You cant argue with your health)
Oh, and another thing. I LOVE this faux fur coat. Its gorgeous.

My new cosmetic brush set

It's 25 pieces, silver, and i love it.
Can you guess yet?
My new makeup brush set! Yaaaaay!

There is literally every brush under the sun in this set, there are even two huge fan ones which i have no idea what their purpose is. Anyone know?
I've had this set for around a month now, there wasnt a point when i went to get the door and there was the postman with my wonderful brush set. No, instead, it was when my sister (who was ordering things like hiking poles for her trip to South America and getting them sent to our house. This sister was also visiting to collect said things and see us) was  opening up all of her stuff and she just looked up and was like 'Oh...?' and she handed it over and it was my brushes. The mail man had elastic-banded her hiking poles with my brush set because it had the same address on it. This was when the realisation hit that they arrived a week earlier, i had been waiting unnessacarily. Not to worry, they make up for it! The brushes are so. so. SO soft! They are very high quality, comparable to MAC brushes for a fraction of the price. The set was about the same price as one MAC brush would be.

Here is what is included : Eyebrow comb/brush duo, mascara wand, eyebrow brush, one of those foam eyeshadow brushes, a lip brush, 3 different sized tiny eyeshadow brushes, a flat brush (small), a medium small eyeshadow brush, a crease brush, a medium fan brush (no idea what its for/called) a medium flat brush, a large flat eyeshadow brush, a small, medium and regular sized concealer brushes, an angled concealer brush, a foundation brush, an angled contour brush, a blush brush, a big face brush and an even bigger face brush. Then there is a small eyeshadow brush which you can take apart and another huge fan brush. There is even a spare pocket for you to put clips or whatever in. I put disposable foam eyeshadow brushes in there (:
The set can be purchased from
It's a Fraulein set

My Coastal Scents cameee! (Review)

It's been a while since i blogged and so i've had my Coastal Scents 88 palette over a month now. Before i was worried that it wouldnt come before halloween but it did! It came one evening when i was with my friend Tessa. My excitement grew inside me as i (carefully)  ripped the box open! Needless to say what we spent that evening doing...
Anyway, the colours are amazing quality, well pigmented, blend well and there is soo much choice! 88 colours, i havent used them all yet (obviously) and sometimes i doubt i ever will, let alone use the pallette up! This will be cherished for years. I cant remember just how early it came but i think it came on the tuesday after the sunday i ordered it. So that would make it 7 working days, rather than the 12-24 working days that i had expected. It came quickly and it was well packaged (So thankyou eBay) I was a little skeptical about ordering it from Hong Kong (like i said before) but there was a pretty impressive 303 previously sold so i did it anyway. This palette is well worth it, i'm glad i got the matte first instead of the shimmer as some of the colours are actually undeniably shimmery. (Don't worry, nothing too disco-ball :)

Coastal Scents!
Oh and i must say, it was smaller than i imagined it to be. I mean, it's not small, but i thought it would be about half the size of my laptop and it's a bit smaller than that. In many ways, this is a good thing as it's really easy to fit into your bag.

I kind of scuffed the top of it, not sure how though!

The colours are much brighter, the camera doesnt do it justice (:

In my opinion, this is a MUST BUY!

Coastal Scents: Super Excited! :D

I ordered my Coastal Scents 88 pallete (original) on Sunday and i'm really excited for its arrival! I got mine on eBay, which i was cautious of at first but i then saw that 303 had been sold by that seller and with no apparant problems, i figured i'd be okay (Fingers crossed) I also ordered a professional make-up brush kit which will be here by next week. I'm not sure when the Coastal Scents thing is coming, but i think its something like 12-24 working days from Sunday 10th, which means its not coming for a looong time. Well, a month. I'm praying that it decided to be nice to me and arrive BEFORE halloween (again, fingers crossed!)
Just thought i'd throw that in there, blogging isnt a terribly interesting thing to be doing if absolutely NO ONE is reading it.

GHD's Are a Godsend. Turn bad hair days into great hair days!

Its Autumn again, and that means that beachy waves are out! Before April, my old hair straigteners took a solid 3 hours to straighten my hair. Yes my hair is thick, and yes it is long but this seems completely ridiculous and unacceptable! So, i got some GHD's and now, i can straighten my hair in twenty minutes (provided it's already dry, of course) Now i personally love the look of superstraight hair, and as most people know by now, GHD's do exactly that. They straighten it as well as defrizzing it. It makes the hair totally flat, as opposed to big and not-flat-at-all. Mine were around £98 on, they are the 5th edition black thin plate ghd's (normal ones, not the tiny or salon flat ones) But if you want limited edition ones they are going to be more. The new ones are lighter than the older ones, which seems odd as the old ones were light to begin with! Anywhere, no one cares about the 10 gram difference between them, fact is they are ah-ma-zing and every. single. female. should have some. If you love your hair straight then i most definately recommend them!

Would You Rather- Beauty tag

Hey Guys!
I decided to do a would you rather, but the beauty version. I watched Juicystar07's youtube video a couple of weeks ago and decided i wanted to do one, since she tagged all of her viewers. So i was going to do it as a video response on my channel SparkleShine24, but my camera isnt really working and i didnt really have time so i put it off. So i'm going to do it NOW , but as a blog!

Here are the questions:
#1. Would you rather go out with messy hair and nice make-up, or nice hair and no make-up?
Nice hair and no make-up! I'm comfortable with myself enough to go out with no makeup on, but i choose to wear it because its fun

#2. Would you rather shave your eyebrows or have your eyelashes fall out?
This is a hard one! I think i would rather have my eyelashes fall out. I can always put on falsies can't i?:)
#3. Would you rather be forced to shop at only MAC or Sephora for the rest of your life?
Sephora. It has everything, as opposed to MAC just having MAC stuff. Lol, obviously.
#4. Would you rather wear the lipgloss/lipliner look or 80's perm?
Well if it's just for a day, i would wear the 80's perm. I could try and tame it so it was like Taylor Swifts gorgeous curls! Haha
#5. Would you rather leave the house with an obvious foundation line or overdone blush?
I think an obvious foundation line, because as soon as i've left the house i can rub it in, right? ;)
#6. Would you rather wear MC Hammer pants or biker shorts in public?
MC Hammer pants. Because i already own Hareems, and they're similar but nicer, right? Haha
#7. Would you rather have a bad orange-y spray tan or really weird tan lines that can't be covered?
Weird tan lines, because it's natural
#8. Would you rather have a bad haircut or bad hair color?
Bad hair colour! I can always strip it back to my original colour, thank god!
#9. Would you rather have youtube or twitter taken away forever?
Well, i dont really use twitter so obviously Twitter!
#10. Would you rather give up using makeup brushes or mascara?
Damn. Makeup brushes, i think.

Well that was fun(:
Thanks for reading
xoxo Amy

Curling your hair with rollers!

Hey Guys!
Earlier I was looking around in old boxes and i found my big box of rollers, so i got them out. Next thing i know i decide i'm going to try them out again, and blog about it.
Here's how to do it:
1. Wash your hair with a good shampoo and then condition it just like you usually do
2. Ring out your hair so its not dripping and then gently towel dry- you don't have to be too thorough!
3. Apply an anti frizz hair serum, make sure you really get this in and make sure its in evenly. If your hair doesnt have even the smallest problem with frizz then you can skip this. Mine isnt too bad but its a good step for me :)
4. Section your hair in three sections, the bottom, middle and the top of your head. Tie the top two sections into a bun. The bottom section, you will need to section again according to curl and roller size. I part mine three times at the bottom, and work up
5. Put your hair into the rollers. Start with each part section of the bottom section and then work through the middle and top sections. Make sure you part section each section! (How many times was section used there? Haha )
6. Spray with heat protectant. I used Charles Worthington's salon shine results heat defence spray.
7. Part dry with a hairdryer on high for 20-30 minutes, depending on how long and thick your hair is.
8. Sleep on them! Be careful though! :)
9. Wake up and take them out carefully, starting at the bottom so that you arent getting tangled
10. Gently spray with John Frieda dream curls hair finishing spray, and then lightly spray with your favourite hair spray. Enjoy your gorgeous curls!

I'll post pictures of how mine turned out tomorrow
